Amazon Dream Cruise

This traditional, 27.5 meter-long 90 foot-long) vessel, built of ipe and itauba woods by the Amazon’s best shipwrights, left the shipyards in 2006. It can carry up to 18 passengers, and offers remarkable conditions of hospitality, service and security. Its cruising speed is 22 knots.
SPACIOUS AND NATURALLY LIGHTED CABINS
The nine cabins, all decorated differently and appointed with Indian objects, offer superb views of the landscapes traveled. Spacious, 12 by 14 square meters (130 to 150 square feet) with ceiling height of 2.10 meters (nearly 7 feet), each cabin has its own bathroom and toilet, and is completely air conditioned. There are even hammocks for abandoning yourself to the easy-going Brazilian way of life.
A WARM AND REFINED ATMOSPHERE
The interior architecture of this boat puts a priority on light, exotic woods, the colors of fabrics and its position allows each guest to live at his own pace. In the dinner room, water colors and engravings bring to life the history of Amazonia, passengers can delve passionately into accounts of the great expeditions of the past.
On the upper deck, the bar opens on to nature’s great show. There are delicious cocktails of Amazonian fruits with exotic flavors: cupuacu, acai, guarana, acerola… and the must, caipirinha. The solarium with its lounge chairs is an irresistible invitation to do absolutely nothing, rocked by the gentle waves.
ALL OF THE FLAVORS OF AMAZONIAN CUISINE
A Brazilian chef prepares dishes with the colors and flavors of the local cuisine, like duck with tucupi, an incredible diversity of local river fishes (pirarucu, tambaqui, tucunaré), specialties of exquisite flavors such as the manicoba, jabu, tacaca.
Fruits of the forest, including cupuacu, bacuri, acai, pupunha are used to prepare delicious desserts. Ice cream from the State of Para are among the world’s most exotic flavored with uxi, mangaba,graviola, tapereba and Brazil nut.
FACILITIES ADAPTED TO THIS FULL-SCALE ADVENTURE
The Amazon Dream is equipped with two powered dinghies to travel into the heart of the iguarapes and observe the plant and animal life. Masks, flippers and snorkels are available for guests to explore the translucent waters of the “aquarium lakes” under the watchful eye of an experienced diver. Rods and bait allow fans to fish “tucunare” (peacock bass), tambaqui or the black piranha.
