Tiwa Amazone
The newest lodge in the Amazon region, opened in December 2003, is a private initiative, managed by the Dutch outdoor company Tiwa.
Location& Transfer: Tiwa Amazonas Ecoresort is located just 10 km from Manaus, on the shores of the Rio Negro river.
Apartaments: 52 appartments, distributed over 26 bungalows, four-star accomodation.
Transfer time is 15 minutes by taxi/bus from the airport to the pier of hotel Tropical, 24 hours a day. From there transfer by boat to the resort takes 20 minutes, also available 24 hours a day.
Rooms: The appartment entrance, porch and bathrooms are completely independent. All appartments have international standard boxspring beds with mosquito-net, air conditioning, luxurious bathrooms with hot shower, high spacious rooms, 2nd floor for a 3rd bed or two children, large balcony/outdoor veranda overseeing the lake. Appartments are built to hear natural sounds of the nature surrounding the resort.
General Facilities: Spacious, very open central building with 24 hour, reception desk, lounge, restaurant, bar, men and ladies toilet. Second floor with private lunch /dinner lounge, TV room with satelite-TV, exposition area, convention rooms for up to 150 people. Separate souvenir/small convenience shop. Large anfitheatre for shows and presentations for up to 250 people.
Kitchen: Regional and international buffet, up to 100 people.
Hours: Breakfast-> 7:30 am - 9:30 am, Lunch -> 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm and Dinner-> 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm.
Water and electricity: Filtered fresh mineral water, of 100 meters deep dwells within resort. Generator powered 24 hours a day, 220 volts, regular maintenance hours.
